MSF Canada's main site
msf.ca was redesigned in 2006, shifting from a static-HTML site to being run on a custom-written CMS. The layout and visual look of the site were completely redesigned, giving a clean look based on plenty of whitespace and minimal typographic treatment. The site is currently being reconfigured to run on the open-source Typo3 CMS.
Abana: Children living with HIV tell their stories
In 2007, MSF Canada produced a mini-site to be distributed through the international MSF movement, with other member countries producing local translations. The site concentrated on the stories of children growing up with HIV/AIDS in Rwanda, with an emphasis on the children's own accounts and drawings. The site combined these drawings with the children's testimonials and information on MSF's projects in the area. Lightboxes were used to expand content while keeping a compact layout, and for multimedia galleries featuring streaming Flash video, images and audio. Design by Ken Tong and Adam Harvie.
XVI International AIDS Conference
MSF had a significant presence at the XVI IAC in Toronto in 2006, for which we produced a mini-site, which contained information on events at the conference, abstracts of papers delivered by MSF participants, and a podcast.
International Refugee Day 2003 - Angola
For International Refugee Day 2003, MSF produced a mini-site on the country Angola, which had suffered several decades of civil war. The site was produced in Flash, with animated drawer sections acting as pages, and with information links that brought up a notepad-styled content holder.
